We’re seeking a Police Station Representative to join our client’s dynamic criminal defence team. Our client is a well-established, Legal Aid-approved law firm specialising in criminal defence who pride themselves on delivering robust legal support and representation from the police station through to trial.
As a Police Station Representative, you will provide essential legal advice and representation to clients detained in police custody. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role requiring professionalism, empathy, and excellent legal acumen.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend police stations to advise and represent clients during interviews under caution
- Assess and advise on case merits and evidence
- Maintain accurate records and manage case files
- Work closely with solicitors and other legal professionals to ensure seamless case progression
- Accredited Police Station Representative status (PSRAS qualified)
- In-depth knowledge of PACE and criminal law procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently under pressure
- Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred
