An opportunity to work within the Procurement function of a leading multi-site logistics business, managing end to end procurement of facilities goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships both externally with suppliers and internally with all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide a skilled negotiation service, to minimise expenditure but maximise value-added advantages including areas of cost avoidance.
- Use best practice sourcing and evaluation techniques, using market intelligence, benchmarking, market testing, competitive tendering, pre-qualification, evaluation, and recommendation of potential suppliers.
- Develop service level agreements and key performance indicators to monitor and measure suppliers against pre-determined targets as part of ongoing supplier contract management.
Skills & Experience:
- Facilities category experience within a Procurement Function of a multi-site organisation, ideally with experience of dealing with multiple vendors.
- Minimum Level 4 CIPS qualified and/or relevant experience.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail.
- Driving licence - must be able to travel to multi-site locations.
