Are you a graduate looking to embark on a career in education? Do you have previous experience working with children? A fantastic primary school in Newbury is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant to join them ASAP. The primary school is graded outstanding by Ofsted and would like to find a teaching assistant with a strong academic background.
This is a one-year contract for the graduate appointed. The successful teaching assistant will be working with either KS1 or KS2 children dependent upon preference. They offer ongoing support and training and have a fantastic senior leadership team. The teaching assistant will be working full-time Monday to Friday and will not be expected to work during school holidays. Education to a degree level is essential for this position (2:1 or above). The school is offering a competitive daily rate for the successful teaching assistant.
This primary school offers continual CPD and has the capacity to offer teacher training for successful graduate teaching assistants. Your responsibilities will include supporting the children in Key Stage 1 and 2 with Maths, English as well as the other subjects. There will be a particular focus on supporting children in their SATS preparation.
The primary school is looking for someone who is personable, works well with children, is reliable and dedicated. A strong education background is desirable for this role with a minimum of a C required at GCSE in Math and English.
