Our client, who is one of the top five largest bus operators in the UK, is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager/Workshop Manager to join their team. This is a permanent vacancy to be based in the Dereham Workshop. The Engineering Manager will support over 30 employees across the Engineering department. Our client is looking for someone who has come from a Coach/Bus or Truck background. Although this is very much a man management role, this role will also involve managing the services and processes on a day to day basis. There is scope for progression within the business and itβs a very exciting time to join this growing business.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a team of around 30 FTEs
- Overseeing the Mechanical, shunting and cleaning department
- Ensuring each department is providing a high standard of service to the customers
- Overseeing the maintenance, repairs and standard of buses
- Ordering, managing inventory
- Recruiting and training of staff
- Health & safety
Required skills and experience:
- Have a proven track record of working within a management role within the Automotive industry
- Have worked within a Management role in Truck, bus, coach or rail
- Be a great man manager
- Be able to ensure products are at a high standard
