We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded M&E contractor known for delivering complex building services projects across the UK and Europe. Due to a major new life sciences development in Cambridge, they are seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor / Manager to join the project team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically advanced project within a sector that is seeing major investment and growth. You’ll play a crucial role in managing site-based delivery and ensuring the mechanical works are installed to a high standard, on time and within programme.
The Role
- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical installation on site
- Work closely with subcontractors, ensuring all works meet quality and H&S standards
- Report into the Mechanical Project Manager and assist with day-to-day delivery
- Manage site logistics, progress reporting, and snagging
- Ensure tools, materials, and labour are available to meet programme deadlines
- Act as the first point of contact for any mechanical site-related issues
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supervising mechanical packages on large-scale building services projects
- Background in life sciences, healthcare, or similarly complex sectors is beneficial
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation sequencing
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively
- SMSTS or SSSTS and relevant mechanical qualifications required
