Venesky-Brownβs client, a public sector organisation in Falkirk, is currently looking to recruit a Chef for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of Β£14.26/hour PAYE. This role will be based onsite in Falkirk. Β Responsibilities: Β β Preparation of food and beverages. β Cooking of meals for a variety of private and corporate clients in accordance with menus and costings. β Organisation, presentation and serving of food. β To maintain health and safety and hygiene in all public areas and assist in the event of an emergency. β To undertake general kitchen and service area/ dining area cleaning, following approved schedule, including washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and crockery and cleaning of service specific equipment. β To advise customers of products and services available and actively promote the venues. β To provide high standards of customer service and care so that the reputation of the service is enhanced and sales target are met. β Allocation of work to Kitchen Porter in food handling, preparation and service. Β Essential Skills: Β β A good understanding of the operational requirements of a small/ medium catering facility. β Required to hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate β Can demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the Cooksafe Food Safety Assurance System. β Have previous food preparation and serving experience and customer service β Relevant hospitality, and/or catering experience.
