Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Project Manager – Civil Engineering UK Wide – Northern Based We\’re working with a civil engineering contractor looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead and deliver Civil Engineering schemes throughout the UK. Typical projects include pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and energy from waste, up to £12m in value. This is a hands-on role overseeing site operations, commercial performance, and client relationships from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations across civil engineering sites Lead site teams and subcontractors to deliver work safely and efficiently Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time Monitor budgets, track costs, and work with commercial teams on valuations and variations Maintain site SHEQ standards and ensure all reporting is accurate and up to date Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders Mentor junior staff and contribute to team developmentRequirements: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects (e.g., roads, drainage, groundworks) Solid understanding of contract administration (NEC preferred) Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills Comfortable taking full responsibility for site performanceCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
