Cantello Tayler Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a client who is based in Windsor. The primary objectives of the role will be to support Accounts in day-to-day finance administration. Fully office based. This role is ideally suited to someone at the beginning of their finance career with a maximum of two years experience. Competitive salary and benefits.
The Accounts Assistant duties will include:
- Printing out incoming invoices, logging on accounts payable/Sage and issuing for sign off, update on Sage/Accounts once payment made.
- Processing sales invoices, loading onto Sage.
- Credit control, including management of accounts receivable ledger, chasing outstanding debtors and answering supplier queries.
- Supporting the preparation of the monthly management reports.
- Print end of month report and distribute to board.
- Assist Contract Managers in updating forms for client projects.
- Invoices and statements hard copy filing.
- Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Daily bank reconciliation with Sage.
- Supporting the weekly payment run process.
- Expenses: check receipts and calculate VAT and totals.
- Assistance with updating internal processes to drive efficiencies in the finance department.
- Point of contact to answer queries from external auditors during annual audit.
The Accounts Assistant required skills and experience:
- Experience in an accounts/finance support role maximum 2 years experience.
- Competence/experience with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks essential.
- Qualified or looking to study towards an AAT qualification or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
