We are currently looking for multiple Pump Engineers for our distinguished client based in London & Essex. The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing a wide range of pumped drainage systems. You’ll be working with wastewater systems, pump chambers, control panels, and more, supporting commercial clients and working closely with our in-house service team.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair wastewater pumping systems, packaged pump sets, macerators, and associated equipment
- Install new pump chambers and systems
- Work with grey water and effluent systems, often in confined spaces
- Carry out fault diagnosis and provide detailed reports with photos using PDA/mobile device
- Work confidently on 3-phase systems and control panels
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and site safety
- Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with wastewater pumps and control panels
- Competent with 3-phase electrical systems
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (required)
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- Flexible and able to participate in on-call rota when introduced
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS check required
Desirable (but not essential):
- Drainage experience
- Experience with sewage treatment plants
- High-pressure water jetting
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Ability to drive 7.5 tonne tanker
