We are currently looking for multiple Pump Engineers for our distinguished client based in London & Essex. The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing a wide range of pumped drainage systems. You’ll be working with wastewater systems, pump chambers, control panels, and more, supporting commercial clients and working closely with our in-house service team.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair wastewater pumping systems, packaged pump sets, macerators, and associated equipment
  • Install new pump chambers and systems
  • Work with grey water and effluent systems, often in confined spaces
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and provide detailed reports with photos using PDA/mobile device
  • Work confidently on 3-phase systems and control panels
  • Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and site safety
  • Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with wastewater pumps and control panels
  • Competent with 3-phase electrical systems
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (required)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Flexible and able to participate in on-call rota when introduced
  • Full UK driving licence
  • DBS check required

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Drainage experience
  • Experience with sewage treatment plants
  • High-pressure water jetting
  • Basic plumbing knowledge
  • Ability to drive 7.5 tonne tanker
