Are you passionate about bringing new food products to life? We’re on the lookout for a creative and driven NPD/Product Developer to join a fast-paced, customer-focused food manufacturing business based in Wembley. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop innovative food products from concept to launch for some of the UK’s top retailers.
The Role: You will be responsible for delivering NPD projects that meet customer and company expectations — from kitchen samples through to successful, on-time launches. This is a hands-on role working cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and production teams, while also being a key point of contact with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver new product concepts in line with customer briefs
- Manage projects from brief through to launch
- Ensure critical timelines, costs, and quality standards are met
- Support customer presentations with high-quality concept samples
- Be actively involved in packaging development
- Collaborate with site teams to source raw materials and validate specifications
- Prepare and update launch packs and ensure full compliance with BRC and internal policies
- Attend and support factory trials, risk assessments, and pre-productions
- Conduct post-launch reviews to identify improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–2 years of experience in a product development role (preferably within a chilled or ambient food environment)
- Experience working with or presenting to major UK retailers
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of food safety and product compliance
- Level 3 or 4 Food Safety certification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
