Generation People is currently hiring for and working with a well-established company based on the outskirts of Chesterfield. Due to expansion and high demand, our client is looking for Van drivers to join their growing logistics team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Our client is a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of Temporary Protection Materials, who are passionate about protecting and helping reduce the global plastic waste problem.
We are actively looking for someone competent in driving from Chesterfield to various areas and back, who can also navigate themselves around completing a handful of deliveries. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with a forward-thinking company and to be part of a team that plays a vital part in protecting the environment, with support always on hand from the friendly transport team.
Daily Duties for the Van Driver includes:
- Multi-drop delivery of 5+ drops
- Efficient driving of the vehicle while adhering to road safety standards
- Completion of delivery paperwork after each drop
- Handballing and assisting with unloading of deliveries at each location
- Professional, friendly customer service
- Use of company satnav and PDA systems
Candidate Skills & Requirements:
- Full UK Driver licence
- No more than 6 points on your drivers licence
- 3+ years of van driving experience - desirable
- Good communication skills
