Company Overview: Loom Talent have been exclusively appointed on a Transport Team Manager (Any 5 from 7) vacancy by a leading FMCG business, due to rapid growth at their largest site in the network, based in Walsall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People-Centric Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of circa x80 colleagues to reach their full potential. Your focus on the well-being and development of your staff will be the cornerstone of success whilst having a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the Transport distribution arm of the business.
  • Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing site standardisation.
  • Performance Management: Proven experience managing under / over performance, along with experience leading; Probation reviews, return to works, PDP's, Annual Reviews and Disciplinary's.
  • TMS Expertise: Utilise your experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Business Systems to drive operational efficiency.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the seamless flow of goods from the warehouse to the end customer.

Key Candidate Requirements:

  • Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
  • Have experience working within a FMCG background - Advantageous.
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience at a Transport Supervisor / Transport Shift Manager / Transport Operations Manager level - Essential.
  • Have managed teams beyond 60+ employees / drivers through direct managerial reports - Essential.
  • Exceptional people management and leadership skills - Essential.
  • An understanding of Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Methodology - Advantageous.
  • A working knowledge of TMS systems - Essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Essential.
  • Commutable to Walsall, for 5 days per week - Essential.
