Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. Private networks - We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?

Working into the Field Manager, you will be responsible for leading installation works, commissioning and completing all site documentation. This will involve travelling to site and working away from home. Installing and commissioning SDH, MPLS-TP and DWDM equipment to enable a full refresh of a nationwide network. Working alongside the project engineers and assure delivery for the client and the company. You would be expected to work with the Senior Authorised Person on site to ensure you are following the site rules and working in a safe manner. When issues on site arise, you will be expected to come to a resolution leaning on our SMEs, TDAs and 3rd line support when necessary.

What you’ll bring?

  • Experienced in rack, charger, and telecoms equipment installation/commissioning, with AC/DC wiring to standard.
  • Skilled in testing, certification, 1st line support, data centre/substation work, fibre/battery maintenance, RAMS, site surveys, and customer-focused service.
  • Qualified with City & Guilds 2391, 18th Edition, Level 3 Electrical Installation, and SC Clearance eligible.
  • Trained in first aid, asbestos awareness, manual handling, IOSH.
  • Strong in telecoms, documentation, IP networks, field work, fault diagnosis, tool use, IT, and Microsoft Office.
