£19-£21 per hour Day Shift - 39 hours + early finish Friday + 25 days holiday + Pension

£24 - £26 per hour Afternoon Shift - 36 hours + 4 days only + 20 days holiday + Pension

Are you an experienced CNC Turner with experience machining large components and working with large capacity machines looking to work for an historic and successful engineering company supplying into the Oil & Gas and renewables sector?

Do you have experience with programming in Fanuc and working on vertical boring machines utilising manually adjusted 4 jaw chucks, and want to work on large and interesting short run component manufacture?

On offer is a role with a company established over 100 years offering heavy engineered components, up to 13m in length and 35 tonnes in weight, for the mining, oil & gas and power generation industries and who offer options on shift and pay, overtime and progression and development.

The company offers excellent machinery and in-house facilities, and you will be working with highly skilled and experienced colleagues.

The role:

  • Program, set and operate large capacity CNC lathes/vertical borers over 2.5 metre swing and up to 10 tonnes components
  • Write new programs from technical drawings and edit existing programs
  • Experience using canned cycles on Fanuc control
  • Day shift 0645 to 1515
  • Afternoon shift 1500 to 0000

The person:

  • Experience of turning large components and vertical boring

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of centre lathe turning (DSG machines) including screw cutting, taper turning and using 4 jaw chucks and turning attachments
