Service Manager (LD Care Home) - £31,500.00 Epsom Rated Good by the CQC in all 5 areas.

Main Purpose of the role: To provide a needs led service to 5 adults in a supported living service with learning disabilities and other health related needs and conditions by adopting a person centered approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. To maintain high standards ensuring compliance with the Care Quality Commission's Fundamental Standards of Quality and Safety. You will be supported by an experienced Senior Service Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and People Management: To lead by example and develop effective teams within the service. Develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development. Provide regular supervision and annual appraisal to Support Workers in line with the company's procedures and standards.
  • Quality Management: Ensure the Service is run in line with statutory policies and procedures. Ensure processes are in place and adhered to in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Management: Ensure information is collated and recorded in line with Quality Assessment System and CQC requirements. To attend reviews as appropriate.
  • Health And Safety: Ensure the home meets H&S regulations and guidance, complete RIDDOR and any reports as required. Ensure staff team completes H&S training as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

At least 3 years recent experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and autism at management level. Experienced in working in partnership with other professionals e.g. health, local authority, CQC. Ideally have an NVQ Level 4 (Level 3 is essential).
