One of the world's leading quantitative trading firms are searching for 2 x highly skilled and experienced Network Engineers to join their team (1x perm, 1 x contract). Below I have included a breakdown of the role, company, and requirements.
Role: Responsible for handling network installation, configuration, and maintenance across their office, data-centre, and colocation sites. A focus on Cisco and Arista equipment, particularly routers and switches. Role will focus on project work, but will sit as a Point of Escalation for the Network Operations team. Large volume of work to come from an on-going initiative to improve go to market speed closer to ultra-high frequency. As a result my client is heavily investing in compute power, colocation, and cloud. Design and implement green-field networking solutions. Opportunity to research and evaluate new network technologies applications. Network automation heavy environment. Infra environment: Hybrid - mixture of Windows and Linux (mainly Linux) | AWS and Openshift Cloud.

Requirements:
- Strong core network engineering experience
- Strong automation experience - likes of Python, Golang, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GIT, Kubernetes
- Cisco Certification - CCNP/CCIE Level
- Strong Linux Experience architecting network solutions for production purposes
- Global WAN build experience i.e. BGP Segment routing in SD-WAN deployments
- Broad infra knowledge - as a result exposure within a small or medium size firm more suited
- Good level of data-centre experience
- Timing solution experience - GPS, PTP, NTP, PPS
- Packet analysis experience - Wireshark
- Packet capture experience - Optical taps, SPAN, tap aggregation, timestamping
