A leading cross-asset brokerage firm is seeking a highly skilled Angular Developer with strong Electron.js experience to support the development of a desktop trading and analytics platform. The successful contractor will work closely with product and trading teams to deliver performant, user-focused features in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain modular, high-performance Angular components
- Build and optimize Electron-based desktop applications for real-time trading workflows
- Collaborate with backend developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data integration
- Contribute to UI/UX decisions, performance tuning, and application stability
Required Skills:
- Strong commercial experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS
- Proven track record building Electron applications in production environments
- Familiarity with real-time data feeds, low-latency UI, and high-frequency update scenarios
- Experience working within financial services or trading platforms
- Strong Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum experience
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to cross-asset trading environments (FX, Equities, Fixed Income, etc.)
- Experience with Node.js, WebSockets, or API gateway patterns
- Testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress)
Contract Details:
- Inside IR35
- 6 months rolling contract
- Up to £800 per day
- Hybrid 2-3 days a week in Liverpool Street
