The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Department by performing various accounting and financial tasks. This role involves assisting with month-end closings, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., * General Accounting:

Assist with the preparation and processing of journal entries.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Resolve vendor invoice queries.

Produce expense reports, and payment requests.

Reconcile customer invoices, shipments and production

Financial Reporting:
-
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.

Compile and analyse financial information to support decision-making.

Prepare supporting documentation for audits and other financial reviews.

Bank Reconciliations:
-
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
-
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Monitor budget variances and report significant deviations to management.

Inventory Management:
-
Support inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of inventory.

Assist with inventory audits and reconciliations.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
-
Assist in maintaining strong internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.

Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Working towards CIMA or ACCA

Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
