A globally recognised FMCG organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights)
Leading a small team of Engineers, this role will remain hands-on, working in a clean room environment maintaining processing equipment, industrial ovens, mixers, conveyors and packaging machines across their busy production line. This particular site has a range of specialist machinery that manufacture bespoke products for one of the most well-known brands in the country.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer with leadership experience or potential to take the next step in their career. This is a highly varied role with a 70/30 split in favour of hands-on maintenance activities and management tasks.
Key duties include:
- Leadership and mentoring
- Ability to logically fault find basic electrical/electronic, mechanical or pneumatic circuits
- Read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Carry out reactive work as well as Planned / Preventative Maintenance tasks
- Fault finding activities
- Basic mechanical work
To be considered for the role, candidates will have proven experience as a maintenance engineer/technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a team/shift lead role would be desirable but not essential. You will also hold a formal Engineering qualification equivalent to an NVQ Level 3 or higher.
