Ginger Hospitality have partnered with a highly successful business to recruit a Finance Controller based in Bala. You will be responsible for all day-to-day financial activities. The business is going through huge growth as there has been significant investment over the last few months, the right candidate for this role will have a hands-on approach who thrives in an autonomous working environment and has previously worked with growth companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and VAT returns
  • Ensure the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee the preparation of year end statutory accounts
  • Managing budgeting and forecasting
  • Contributing to company financial strategy and decision-making process
  • Financial reporting
  • Overseeing tax and compliance
  • Developing forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Produce month end and year end journals
  • Prepare statutory and management accounts
  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Maintain relationships with accountants, banks, and insurers
  • Process improvements and automation of financial controls
  • Production of relevant commercial analysis e.g. margins and pricing
  • Business partner with the Group
  • Managing, mentoring, and motivating a small accounts team

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified finance professional, AAT 3 or Above
  • Credible and confident communicator
  • Process improvement focused
  • Ability to implement change and drive business performance within a growth sector
  • Must have the desire to grow and develop in a role
