The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Manager’s responsibility is to champion Safety, Health & Environmental management on site actively promoting and developing a positive safety culture on site As part of this role, you will be required to act as the business expert on all Health and Safety matters ensuring all employer liability claims are being monitored and be the key contact with enforcement bodies and response services. Key focuses of this role are continuous development and improvement of the sites and business safety and environmental management system, implementation and monitoring of site health and safety policies and procedures to reduce accident frequencies and improve our environmental performance. Other Responsibilities Are But Not Limited To Developing and maintaining UK safety standards across site and regular liaison with group functions Carrying out regular audits and plant inspections as appropriate, with the management and employee representatives concerned Ensure appropriate budget is available and spent on health and safety requirements (as part of overall site budget) Who We Are Looking For Previous experience within management / head of SHE role within Food manufacturing working alongside senior functional leaders Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety law and proven track record of implementation and maintenance of these processes to ensure compliance Expert knowledge of best practice, Industry standards and implementation of these with a clear understanding on how to tap into industry wide best practice Good knowledge of Environmental / Sustainability practices with the ability to adopt and implement Understanding on how local Government departments work and the ability to proactively engage to develop a good working relationship with key stakeholders NEBOSH and Health and Safety qualified Agile – thinking and behaviours Previous People Management experience including individual’s development
