Your new company is a leading provider of infrastructure services, construction, and property development. They are committed to delivering sustainable solutions that are vital to communities across the UK. They have a strong track record of delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Your new role involves supporting the environmental manager and wider team in a 6-month part-time contract. You will be able to work on a hybrid basis around 20 hours a week, either full-time for 3 days or part-time for 5 days.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Help to improve environmental standards within the organisation, raising awareness and best practices to varying groups of people
  • Environmental compliance input, including assessment
  • Site visits
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing sustainability practices
  • Support with other environmental issues; waste management, decarbonisation etc
  • Attend team meetings

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A degree in an environmental field
  • Able to drive and willing to travel to sites on occasion
  • Some environmental knowledge - not expected to know sector specific legislation
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
