We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Specialist to oversee design and technical reviews of pumps, compressors, and turbines for offshore topsides projects. You will lead equipment specification, third party vendor reviews, and ensure compliance with project and industry standards (API, ISO, ASME). The individual would be a senior advisor to the team and would be involved in training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and review rotating equipment design packages.
- Interface with vendors to ensure technical compliance.
- Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and FATs.
- Support integration of rotating equipment into topside facilities.
- Training junior staff.
Requirements:
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years’ experience in oil & gas topsides or offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of API standards.
- Skilled in equipment selection, design verification, and troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- Offshore commissioning experience.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working toward it).
The role is a consultant role to deliver fixed scopes of work on a part time basis.
