Single Homeless Project have a new opportunity for a Recovery and Opportunities Coordinator to join our team based in Islington. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,953.79 and rising incrementally to £31,101.42 per annum. Single Homeless Project is a London-wide charity. Our vision is of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life. We help single Londoners by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change. From supporting people in crisis to helping people take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to 12,000 lives every year across all 32 boroughs.

About the Recovery and Opportunities Coordinator role: In this role, you’ll be at the heart of a team transforming the lives of people who need support the most. Working alongside the Regional Services Manager, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of clients at our Ashley Road, Milton House, and Highbury New Park projects. You will provide vital support to those facing complex challenges, including mental health difficulties, substance use, trauma, and physical health concerns. Your work will directly impact their ability to recover, rebuild their lives, and create a brighter future.

The role is all about using a strengths-based approach within a psychologically informed environment, supporting clients on their journey towards stability and independence. Your day-to-day will involve delivering tailored interventions, guiding clients through their recovery process, and helping them tap into community and statutory resources that can support their growth. With a focus on improving outcomes, your work will empower clients to build resilience, grow their confidence, and achieve lasting change.

As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll also promote client involvement and co-production, working alongside other agencies to develop programs that reflect the true needs of the community. Whether encouraging social inclusion, running physical health checks, or strengthening partnerships with local services, your role will drive positive change across the borough, creating opportunities for clients to thrive in every aspect of their lives.

Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Recovery and Opportunities Coordinator:

  • Previous experience of working with people with complex support needs.
  • Ability to manage your time and work across different Services & Teams to promote social inclusion and provide a wealth of Opportunities for our clients.
  • A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

Our attractive benefits package includes:

  • A salary increase after successfully completing six month’s probationary period
  • A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am – 4pm) in non-accommodation services
