A forward thinking, innovative and friendly law firm with offices across the Thames Valley is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to work with their busy Litigation Team. The candidate will offer a comprehensive range of assistant duties for the Team on a full-time basis. This is initially a temporary role that offers an immediate start with the possibility of a temp-perm option if interested. The role is office based in Newbury.

Duties:

  • Assist the team members with the smooth progression of work on behalf of clients to ensure that an excellent service is provided to clients.
  • Photocopying of documents.
  • Preparing bundles for trials.
  • Scheduling.
  • Digital dictation.
  • Drafting letters and documents.
  • Liaising with clients and others.
  • Arranging fixed fee client interviews.
  • Ensuring file notes of all telephone conversations and meetings are prepared.
  • Appropriate legal research/drafting.
  • Diary management.
  • Attend any training sessions either internal or external and networking events as and when required.
  • Deal with all work promptly, efficiently, and accurately.

You will be reporting to lawyers within the Team, additionally, and as with all employees, you are ultimately accountable to the Managing Partner for your quality of work and actions to the Partnership as a whole for your work on behalf of the Firm.
