About the Role
A busy and growing organisation near St Ives, Cambridgeshire is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Administrator to join its Global Dispatch and Order Fulfilment team. The primary focus will be managing UK dispatch processes and providing support for export dispatch during absences. This is a key role ensuring the smooth coordination between departments and the accurate processing of dispatch information.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out UK dispatch administration tasks as part of a wider dispatch team
- Provide carriage quotes to sales teams
- Book pallet and box collections for UK shipments
- Ensure all shipments are correctly labelled and processed
- Liaise with couriers and resolve issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate data entry and complete dispatch paperwork
- Facilitate effective communication between the warehouse and other departments
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide cover and support to colleagues in both administration and warehouse functions when required
- Adapt and grow with the role as the business evolves
- Communicate clearly and professionally across the business
- Adhere to company health & safety procedures, especially regarding manual handling and workplace cleanliness
- Handle confidential information responsibly
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks to support the smooth operation of the department and wider business, including occasional work outside of regular hours if needed
