Contek are recruiting for a QHSE Advisor/Manager to work based out of a company in Bradford. This business is a versatile and forward-thinking outfit that has many different sides of their business keeping the role fresh and engaging. This can vary from Engineering, Manufacturing to Development within property.
You must have experience as a QHSE Advisor/Manager in either Engineering, Construction or similar to be successful with your application for this post; if you have a mixture of the two then even better.
The Role:
You will be working with Senior Management to ensure the company is promoting and working to a positive QHSE culture and you will ensure the company maintains, meets and where necessary improves standards of working to regulatory requirements. As part of your role your key responsibilities will include:
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with current standards of work (ISO9001).
- Customer/Supplier liaison for quality-related issues and then delegate to the wider team as necessary.
- Ensure the highest quality standards possible across all production.
- Manage the department and provide supervision where necessary.
- Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory HSE requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes in HSE legislation and ensure the management team are informed and compliant.
- Work alongside HSE consultants and develop/maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of the HSE system.
- Training and Awareness:
- Organise and facilitate delivery of training or updates related to QHSE activities.
- Promote QHSE awareness through various initiatives and communications.
- Risk Assessments and Incident Reporting:
- Conduct Risk Assessments and implement risk control measures across all company activities.
- Record and investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions where required.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience of managing the QHSE function within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Extensive knowledge of the process of attaining and maintaining accreditations to ISO9001.
- Able to work with and develop a team.
- Experienced in QMS/HSE Audits.
- Relevant HSE certification such as IOSH/NEBOSH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and management abilities.
- Proven experience of dealing with customer quality concerns and managing NPI.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices within manufacturing.
Hours: 41 hours per week.
