Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Group Manager - Quantity Surveying on a permanent basis on a salary of £51,456 - £59,736/annum, excellent holidays and pension scheme. Role offers great work life balance. This role will be based in Glasgow with hybrid working, working onsite 5 days from 10.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for commercial aspects of projects.
- Managing resources.
- Advising and administering various forms of construction contract.
- Supporting and developing the team and managing external consultants where required.
Essential Skills:
- Educated to a minimum HND level in Quantity Surveying + 5 years minimum experience.
- Good computer skills.
- Competent in Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to self-manage and to progress multiple submissions in parallel.
- Knowledge of prices and cost planning information.
- Knowledge of legal and contractual issues in relation to construction.
