TXM Recruit are working exclusively with a rail manufacturing and maintenance business who are looking for 2 x System Technicians to help with the introduction of a new locomotive fleet.
About the Role:
- Based out of Leicester but travel within a 4 hour window around Leicester required frequently as part of working shift.
- UK wide travel required from time to time.
- Shift pattern to include days / nights / weekends (shift TBD).
- Extensive travel required as part of training programme (to include UK sites + European travel).
Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification or Advanced Modern Apprenticeship required.
Full sentinel medical / D+A required.
Candidates will be required trackside mainline.
Interview 2 stage process (Teams initial followed by site visit and practical test).
£45,000 initial basic salary rising to £48,000 + 20% shift allowance applicable from commencement of employment.
Required Skills:
- High Level Technician – Role will include mobile response/fault finding and VMI exams.
- Passenger or Rail Freight experience essential.
- Electrical biased preferred (70% elec / 30% mech is ideal).
- Test & Commissioning experience.
- Fault finding / fault diagnostics.
