One of the worlds leading FMCG companies is recruiting a Category Manager, Corrugated Packaging to join its team in London. This is a highly ambitious business with an annual turnover of 4.5bln EUR and plans to double in size over the next 10 years! You will be joining a mature procurement function with over 50+ procurement professionals. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will manage the Corrugated Packaging Category (35-40m Euros) across 4 regions in Europe. This will be a highly strategic role and you will devise and implement category strategies across your regions, building strong supplier relationships, optimising costs, and mitigating risks. The business has an entrepreneurial culture and it will give you the autonomy to build and shape your category area.
As Category Manager you will be responsible for:
- Manage the procurement activities of the Corrugated packaging (IRL / NOR / ESP / UK).
- Deliver productivity targets by supporting the Senior Category Manager (Corrugated) in execution of the strategy and future vision.
- Drive sustainable corrugated packaging strategy according to regional responsibilities.
- Establish relationship with all suppliers.
- Advance and foster close working relationship with key stakeholders.
- Deliver the Groups objectives in terms of cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- Promote and manage a robust supplier base to secure Procurement targets for compliance and reporting.
- Implementation of sustainable processes, compliance requirements and category strategy.
