The Client

We are exclusively working with a globally recognised financial institution with a strong presence across capital markets and structured lending. Known for its collaborative legal team and high-calibre transactional work, the organisation offers an excellent platform for lawyers looking to work on complex, cross-border financing transactions within a high-performing environment. The team is playing an increasingly strategic role across EMEA as the business grows its debt offering and transactional footprint. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced banking lawyer, to step into a visible VP-level role with real influence across deal structuring, legal risk, and execution strategy.

The Role

  • Provide legal advice on syndicated and bilateral loan transactions across EMEA
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex LMA loan documentation
  • Liaise with internal teams, syndicate banks, and external counsel
  • Lead transaction workstreams from structuring through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and best practice
  • Act as a key contact for Loan Capital Markets originators, supporting the business across the deal lifecycle

The Profile

  • Qualified lawyer (England & Wales) with strong banking and finance experience.
  • Trained at a top-tier law firm, with in-house experience (preferred) at an investment bank.
  • In-depth knowledge of LMA documentation and syndicated loan processes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to EMEA lending activity.
  • Confident communicator with excellent drafting, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded, with sound judgement and a proactive mindset.
