A Supplier Relationship Officer (SRO), who will be involved in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). As a central point of expertise within the Business, the role of SRO is pivotal in all facets of supplier engagement and continuous performance management, aligning with SRM best practice and Company policy.
Within this role, the contract renewal process for our preferred suppliers will be initiated promptly, enabling comprehensive reviews, including negotiation of terms and conditions, commercials and SLAs. The SRO will manage supplier reviews, ensuring suppliers are delivering to their full potential, whilst also building and developing relationships with our internal customers and stakeholders.
Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- CIPS qualified at level 4+ or the equivalent in workplace experience.
- Extensive experience in procurement with expertise in supplier management, negotiations, benchmarking and tendering for Value for Money (VFM).
- Experience of building effective working relationships across all levels of the Business.
- Involvement in reviewing suppliers against established KPIs, and SLAs.
- Familiarity of developing new KPIs, and SLAs.
- Firm understanding of procurement principles, legislation and regulations.
- Experience in developing reports and analysing data.
- Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Highly efficient in meeting deadlines and managing priorities.
- Reviewing due diligence to mitigate supply chain risks and manage the Preferred Supplier List.
- Coordinating framework agreements to enhance supplier performance and achieve VFM.
- Collaborating with suppliers and service owners to address supplier issues.
- Negotiating and establishing performance criteria for suppliers, ensuring achievable and measurable KPIs.
- Identifying and confirming service owners and end product users for new categories.
- Auditing existing suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts, SLAs and regulatory standards.
- Managing the tender review process from Invitation to Tender (ITT) to contract finalisation.
- Gathering market data for benchmarking and planning to support continuous VFM.
- Exploring sourcing options in new territories.
- Serving as a central point of expertise in procurement policy and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the Procurement management team in onboarding, due diligence initiatives and strategy whilst supporting other members of the team when needed.
