Shunter Driver -Worksop β Earn up to Β£15.74 per hour β Apply Now! At Job&Talent, we are recruiting Shunter drivers to work with an important company in the Worksop. Shift Patterns: 4 on / 4 off β Night shift, from 18:00-06:00 Pay Rates: Β£15.74 As a Shunter Driver, you will need: No Class 1 licence required, but experience in shunting is essential A self-starter with a positive attitude, capable of working on your own initiative Understanding of supply chain operations in the UK Role of a Shunter driver: Ensure full trailers are taken on and empty trailers take off the infeed docks in a timely manner as communicated by Operations. Ensure empty trailers are on the relevant outbound docks and secured for loading. Communicate with the Warehouse team to ensure drivers and sub-contractors are given the correct trailer for the movement they are scheduled to. Ensure all trailers are moved around the site in a safe and secure manner following all site health and safety procedures, reporting any incidents or near misses, Ensure customer material is not damaged during transportation to / from docks. Ensure all trailers are in good condition before use and liaise with Operations on site to report any defects. Complete scheduled movements of trailers around the site, on / off docks and in the trailer park. Sort and prioritize workload to ensure time commitments are met. Ensure correct completion of any reports / schedules documentation. Comply with DHL\βs uniform requirements and ensure all relevant ID passes are worn at all times. Accurately record working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations. Achieve targets, productivity, service and compliance. Ensure health and safety rules of the site are strictly adhered to, paying particular attention to the processes regarding unloading and loading. Complete daily vehicle safety checks, safe loading / securing a load of trailers, report maintenance defects, adhere to company driving standards, fuel efficiency and telematics training.
