Unite People are working with a specialist Civil engineering, who are looking to appoint a freelance Mechanical Engineer to oversee schemes in the water & infrastructure sector. Working on projects in West Yorkshire, you be involved in the whole project life cycle, proving design and construction support for installation of M&E elements at water treatment facilities. You will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, clients, supply chain partners and sub-contractors to achieve positive outcomes for the projects. You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject. You will ideally have experience of working with a water board client, I.e Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Northumbrian Water. Alternatively, candidates with experience in energy, infrastructure & environmental sectors also considered. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and deliver electrical engineering projects within Yorkshire Water's infrastructure. * Oversee contractors and suppliers, ensuring work complies with technical, quality, and safety standards. * Prepare and review documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports. * Ensure consistent support in project planning and budgeting * Oversee project scopes, technical specifications, and design solutions.
