About the Role: Branta Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a busy team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional to work across a variety of commercial sites in the North East of England. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning & refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on a range of air conditioning systems, including:
  • Split systems
  • VRV/VRF systems
  • Chillers
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
  • Clean coils, replace filters, and perform general system upkeep to maximise efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct inspections to identify system performance issues and recommend solutions.
  • Work alongside other engineers and subcontractors for complex installations or upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and F-Gas regulations.
  • Key Requirements:

    • F-Gas Category 1 certification.
    • Proven experience in a similar Air Conditioning Engineer role.
