Would you like to work / relocate to an amazing company in Cardiff? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer to join an amazing high street fashion brand. As a Senior Buyer, your primary responsibility will be to curate, source, and deliver a commercially viable and trend-driven product range that not only drives profitability but also strengthens the brand's market position. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Buying Director and Head of Buying to formulate and execute the Buying Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Some key responsibilities:
- Operates an effective and timely product sign off process, in line with the critical path and planning cycle;
- Leading the department in driving trend-led collections with the right level of newness/fashion/trend;
- Takes responsibility for maximising profit on the department through strong negotiation and development of global supplier relations;
- Trade the department and analyse relevance of new and emerging trends for the brand and plan accordingly;
- Plans and builds a commercially balanced range, whilst achieving margin targets as set by the company;
- Drives regular departmental product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments in terms of trends, looks and colour palettes.
About you:
- Must have come from a fashion buying background;
- Happy to work in the office 5 x a week;
- A passion for trends who excels in driving newness in a fast-paced environment;
- Experienced in negotiating with suppliers to secure the best value, cost prices, and lead times.
