Qualified Physical Education (PE) Teacher – Chester Area Location: Chester, Cheshire Salary: £120 – £190 per day Job Type: Full-time or Part-time About the Role: Simply Education is seeking passionate and energetic Qualified Physical Education Teachers to work in schools in the Chester area. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Dynamic Lessons: Plan and deliver stimulating PE lessons that encourage participation and skill development. Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. Classroom & Behaviour Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined environment for physical activity. Adapt Instruction: Differentiate lessons to accommodate students with SEN, EAL, and varying physical abilities. Collaboration: Work with colleagues to organise extracurricular sports, competitions, and health initiatives. Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Ensure student safety during practical activities and promote wellbeing. Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and developments in physical education.Key Skills & Qualities: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of physical education techniques, sports coaching, and health education. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all fitness levels. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Patience, energy, and a positive attitude towards student development. Effective behaviour management skills in a practical learning environment.Essential Requirements: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching PE in line with the UK national curriculum. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).Desirable: Experience coaching or leading school sports teams. Knowledge of health and fitness programmes and injury prevention.
