We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Account Executive to join our team and help us maintain strong relationships with our valued retail partners.

Position Overview:

As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business through effective relationship management, sales support, and account management with multiple supermarkets and retailers. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure the smooth delivery of our products to our retail clients, while helping to identify new business opportunities and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key supermarket and retail clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to support the development and execution of sales strategies, identifying opportunities to increase product penetration and sales volume across client accounts.
  • Account Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of your accounts, ensuring smooth order processing, timely delivery, and consistent product quality.
  • New Business Development: Proactively seek and identify new business opportunities within existing retail partners and potential new clients, contributing to the company’s growth strategy.
  • Market Insights: Gather and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to provide actionable insights that support business growth and product development.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, production, logistics) to ensure product availability and optimise customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, account status, and emerging opportunities or issues.
  • Negotiation: Assist with contract negotiations and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that support business objectives.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in account management or sales support, ideally within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of supermarket and retail operations and the dynamics of working with large retail chains.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
  • A strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
