Learning Support Practitioner – Dyslexia & Autism SupportLocation: LittlehamptonStart Date: June 2025

Are you passionate about inclusion and supporting young people with additional needs? A welcoming all-through school in Winchester is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Practitioner with a specialism in Autism and Dyslexia to join their dynamic SEND team from June 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support for students, with a focus on those with Autism and/or Dyslexia.
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups, to support learners with Dyslexia.
  • Act as a keyworker for students with complex needs, building strong and trusting relationships.
  • Liaise effectively with staff, students and families to support student progress and wellbeing.
  • Share and develop best practice in supporting students with SEND across the wider school community.
  • Engage in regular CPD to grow your knowledge and skills in SEND education.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible and empathetic approach.
  • A positive, resilient mindset and a sense of humour.
  • A team player who is adaptable and passionate about inclusive education.
  • Experience with Autism and/or Dyslexia is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.
