Job Description
The engineer will be required to deal with projects throughout the UK but prominently within 2 hours from the office. Role includes condition surveys and working on projects from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover under the guidance of a Partner. Skills shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Lighting calculations
- Cable calculations
- Part L Compliance checking
- Designs to include equipment selection and specification writing etc
- Design and specification of renewable technologies
- Liaison with utility companies for new and diversion of existing services
- Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors
- Project Management
- Site inspections
Qualifications and experience
- British or European citizen or otherwise working rights in UK
- Degree qualified in electrical engineering
- Experience: Working as an electrical (building services) design engineer (preferably in the UK)
- Good design knowledge/skills
- Essential experience:
– Working knowledge of wiring regulations BS 7671
– Working knowledge of relevant British Standards
– Education, leisure, residential and mixed-use sectors
– AutoCAD MEP
- Preferential but not essential experience:
– Familiarity with BREEAM, and implications for M&E design
– Revit MEP

- Reside locally to Tring or able to relocate
- Own transport available + valid driver’s licence
- Ideally available to commence immediately or under short notice
