Parts Manager

Parts Manager Company vehicle and fuel card/laptop/phone Reading Our client, a family owned and run Commercial Vehicles business across London and the Thames Valley, is seeking for a HGV Parts Manager to join their team in Reading. The ideal candidate will need proven experience with people management and leadership, extensive parts and purchasing knowledge with demonstrable results of implementing effective business strategies. Role: Parts Manager Hours: 40 hour per week ; occasional Saturday 7am -1pm Location: Reading Key responsibilities: * Develop and implement a parts sales strategy (e.g. increasing the number and value of customers) for the Branch in agreement with the Ops Director * Ensure parts purchase, parts sales and profit margin targets are achieved * Promote parts sales and maintain the customer database * Conduct customer visits to increase the customer base and maintain relationships with existing customers * To be continuously and consistently conscious of customer needs, providing at all times the highest level of courtesy and service, and to promote customer satisfaction and dealership manufacturer ratings (CXI / CXM / Customer CARE) * To lead, motivate, coach, appraise and develop the team of parts advisors and drivers to achieving their personal objectives, required accreditations, that is in line with your department’s goals * Supervise and control the daily activities of the Parts Department staff, develop a team environment to ensure a high level of customer service is offered and maintained Requirements: * Customer-focused and fully committed to delivering the highest professional standards * Enthusiastic, adaptable and confident with a have a positive \’can do\’ attitude and willingness to motivate and manage a team and be driven to succeed * Exceptional organisational skills • Exceptional communication skills * Resilient, thorough and accurate when completing a task with strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Honest with high levels of integrity * Flexible, self-motivated and be able to work under their own initiative, as well as being able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines * Problem solving skills * Ability to use all appropriate modules of the Dealer Management System (Kerridge/Autoline), particularly Point of sale, Workshop Loading and Sales Ledge * Advanced IT skills * Strong Numeracy and Literacy skill Benefits: * 25 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays * Additional leave with service loyalty (3yrs / 5yrs / 7yrs / 10yrs) * Holiday+ Purchase Scheme (up to 3 days available to purchase) * Statutory Pension Scheme * Accident Policy for all employees * Free Class IV MOT per year * Mental Health First Aiders * Paternity pay – Full 2 weeks * Cycle to work scheme * Parking on site #hgvpartsmanager #automotivepartsmanager #vehiclepartsmanager
