Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Bristol for an experienced Electrical Maintenance and Reliability Engineer. This client is experiencing substantial growth and is looking to expand their team. This role will require you to take the lead in reliability improvements/sustainability, undertake problem solving sessions, compile documentation and provide technical lead in day-to-day operations.

The Person:

  • NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering
  • HNC level or equivalent in electrical engineering
  • GCSE mathematics and English
  • Advanced PLC & VSD experience/qualifications
  • 3 years+ experience manufacturing engineering and plant asset care
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing and engineering principles
  • Experience working with CMMS system
  • Experience working within a FMCG maintenance department
  • Experience of participation in RCA processes
  • Problem solving
  • Previous experience in team management

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that agreed reliability, AM/PM plans and strategies are effectively undertaken and delivered, liaising with Production, Quality, Operations and Contractors.
  • To support the maintenance planning team with all maintenance days ensuring best decisions are made regarding site critical Assets.
  • Key stakeholder in all RCAs, lead team member in FMEAs and Reliability Hazard analysis.
  • You will spend a significant portion of your role on PM tasks which must be completed safely and closed out to a high standard, on time as well as being a significant contributor to the regular shutdowns within the plants alongside the Maintenance Team Engineer and the Maintenance Operations Manager.
  • Outside of shutdowns and PM tasks you will investigate CBM and OTR findings further and work with the Senior Electrical Engineer to plan these tasks accordingly to optimise shutdown effectiveness.
  • Manage PM inspection workflow.
  • Working on all electrical/automation tasks as required.
  • Assist with management of maintenance shutdowns.
  • Validate CBM, OTR findings and plan into maintenance shutdowns.
  • Completion of scoping documents for major maintenance.
  • Conduit between AM & PM (AM/PM calendar, Machine ledger, AMPM visual management, audits).
  • To issue correct permits when required for tasks to be carried out in the area and ensure correct isolations are in place.
  • To support in the planning of, then execute and supervise all Planned Shutdowns ensuring adherence to shutdown KPI’s.
  • To carry out risk assessments & write method statements & record near miss incidents.
  • To manage shutdown contractors working on routine & non-routine tasks.
  • To actively improve Machine efficiency (ME) and BP (Board Quality).
  • Liaise with the CBM Engineer to assist monitoring and improve performance of the plant.
  • Participate in any activity as requested relating to the improvement of the work area.

The shifts: Monday to Thursday - 07:00am - 15:30pm, Friday 07:30am - 14:30pm. Overtime available. Due to the nature of the business and operations, it may be necessary to work outside of business hours as required and agreed due to 24/7 operations.

The salary for this role is up to £50,500pa + an excellent benefit package.
