Thames Water is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our top Electrical Engineering team in the Above Ground Engineering division. This role is vital for achieving our AMP7 ambitions and future projects. As a critical contributor to Electrical Engineering design, you will: Define technical requirements in project briefs. Ensure compliance with regulations for electrical assets. Review and approve electrical designs. Enhance Technical Asset Standards for continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing as a Senior Electrical Authorising Engineer Get the correct technical requirements in the project technical briefs. Review or approve Electrical designs as appropriate. Input and continuously improve Technical Asset Standards. This role will be at Hampton Coal Wharf, Hybrid. You must attend the office and sites as needed for the role and business. Thirty-six hours a week, Monday to Friday. Must be a driver and have access to a car; this role does come with a car allowance. What you should bring to the role Degree level or equivalent with professional chartership likely in their Engineering Discipline or working towards. Competence in electrical engineering design requires combining technical and other skills, defining a problem identifying constraints, and employing creativity and innovation. Understanding of the technology to improve solutions and improve safety. Ability to promptly deal with complex inaccuracies or discrepancies in documentation and specifications. Extensive experience in their engineering discipline, including High Voltage and Low Voltage Systems, and meaningful water industry experience. Understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance with our engineering regulatory requirements. What’s in it for you?
