My client is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their growing team. The role is to create, develop, and refine product and packaging design concepts and artwork that align with market trends and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and enhance product and packaging design concepts and artwork to align with brand and market expectations.
- Prepare and meticulously review files for print and manufacturing to ensure accuracy and production efficiency.
- Continuously learn from and collaborate with fellow designers, fostering a supportive and creative team environment.
- Stay informed on emerging design technologies, techniques, finishes, materials, and industry best practices to enhance creativity and innovation.
- Partner with product developers, merchandisers, and quality control teams to conceptualise and refine both new and existing products.
- Leverage creativity and market insights to identify trends and develop commercially viable, trend-led designs.
- Provide clear direction and brief photographers to capture necessary shots for projects.
- Interpret and apply specific retailer requirements to ensure designs meet varying customer expectations.
- Create tailored artwork that aligns with the branding and aesthetic needs of a diverse range of customers and leading retailers.
- Proactively resolve internal design challenges, finding effective solutions before escalating concerns to customers.
- Offer cross-departmental support during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Experience and Skills Needed
- 3+ years of experience in creative design, specializing in brand creation and product development
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong expertise in Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Skilled in producing detailed product specifications, character artwork, surface prints, and pattern designs for both new and existing ranges.
- Knowledge of 3D programs is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in both own-brand and licensed brand designs, with the ability to follow brand guidelines effectively.
- Strong expertise in cutter guides, packaging design, typography, and artwork creation.
- Proficiency in Apple Mac and Adobe Creative Cloud software, ensuring seamless workflow and design execution
- Experienced in creating cutter guides and utilizing basic Microsoft Office tools for project management and documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of packaging design requirements, including back-of-pack information, hazard warnings, and barcode placement.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all design work
