Are you an experienced Contracts Manager within the Construction industry? Would you like to work for a leading firm with access to top quality work? If so, we have a great opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's top firms who have a fantastic reputation within the industry.
As a Contracts Manager, you will be based on site within London / South England, and if you are from Northern Ireland then you will be required to travel over every week and the firm will put you up in accommodation. If you are UK based and keen to work on projects in SE England then you are more than welcome to apply.
The Contracts Manager has overall responsibility for the co-ordination, management and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed profitably, safely, on time and to an acceptable standard whilst maintaining and promoting strong client relationships. They will ensure the most effective and efficient utilisation of people and resources required for the duration of the project.
The Contracts Manager will be assigned to multiple live projects but will also be involved in the pre-construction stages of projects and post construction issues that may arise after Practical Completion. You will need to demonstrate your experience in managing multi-million pound projects within the UK or Irish market. The role requires someone who is very hands-on and willing to work 'on the ground' with your team.
Other key requirements include:
- Ability to participate in the tendering process to help develop the pipeline
- Demonstrable experience in health & safety, in compliance with OHSAS 18001
- Ability to deal with all pre-construction management, including the formal discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions and obtaining relevant licences from relevant Authorities.
- Assist the site team and liaise with high level Sub-Contract Management
