Our Client, a large public sector organisation based in Limavady, require a Team Lead Refuse Driver to join their team. All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.
Location: Limavady
Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week
Hourly Rate: 1-12 weeks £12.82, 13 weeks £14.84
Main Duties:
- Responsible for the daily/weekly completion of specific work schedules and driving of specified Council vehicles in connection with refuse collection services within any given area of the Borough.
- Responsible for the safe, legal and efficient operation of specified vehicles to include adherence to the appropriate driving guidelines, legislation and appropriate codes of practice.
- Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
- Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria:
- A full, current LGV driving licence (Category C or CE) which enables you to drive in the UK.
- A full, current Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
- Demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of two years' experience to include:
- Driving a Category C or CE vehicle in a commercial or public sector environment.
- Dealing directly with members of the public, in person.
- Keeping simple records.
- Instructing staff.
