We are hiring for an Energy Sales Manager based in Leicester to lead a team covering both SME and corporate markets. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on training, process improvement, and fostering a high-performance culture. While you won’t have personal sales targets, your goal will be to enable your team’s success and drive strategic results.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will manage an established group of sales agents and lead generators.
  • Leading from the front – coaching, mentoring, and motivating a B2B sales team.
  • Running regular 1-to-1s, setting KPIs, and delivering actionable feedback.
  • Overseeing the sales process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a smooth client journey.
  • Reporting on performance trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supporting hiring, onboarding, and early-stage development of new staff.
  • Cultivating a collaborative, energetic, and results-driven team environment.

About You

You’re an experienced sales leader who knows how to get the best out of people. You thrive in commercial environments and have a solid grasp of the energy sales lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience managing B2B sales teams within the energy sector.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
  • Knowledge of sales processes for both SMEs and larger corporates.
  • Confidence in using CRM systems and performance data.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience improving or implementing new sales processes.
  • A full UK driving licence.
