Service Designer (Public Sector / GDS)

We’re looking for a Service Designer with U.K Government experience who’s passionate about improving how public services are designed and delivered.
You’ll work within multidisciplinary teams to shape end-to-end services that are accessible, inclusive, and impactful combining policy thinking, digital design, and user insight to create real change at scale.
If you thrive in complex environments, love working collaboratively, and believe in design’s power to drive social impact, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design of equitable, sustainable public services
- Apply GDS standards and user-centred principles throughout the design lifecycle
- Use research, data, and evidence to inform design decisions
- Map and visualise services, prototype ideas, and test solutions
- Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience designing services in or for the public sector
- Strong understanding of GDS principles and agile delivery
- Confidence leading client sessions and collaborating across disciplines
- A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process
- Eligibility for (or current) Security Check (SC)
