Linux System Engineer (Ref: ed1d)

Referment have partnered with a global High Frequency Trading company to find a Linux Engineer to join their team in London.
You will be joining a team of world class engineers and take full responsibility of the entire stack to deliver a reliable and highly performant platform that is used by traders and quants. Your role will include designing, implementing and optimising their UNIX and Linux servers as well as improving their low latency trading operations across global co-location facilities.
In this role you will also be working closely with software developers, traders and trading support staff to create industry leading low latency trading systems.
To be considered for the role, experience in the following is required:

• Experience working with UNIX or Linux in a Sysadmin or engineering capacity
• Strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, multicast etc
• Scripting and automation experience such as Python, Shell, Ansible, Jenkins
• Excellent communication skills and the desire to work as part of a wider team
