The role:
- As the Senior Specification Technologist, your role will involve completing product specifications for various retailers, customers, and our own brand across multiple accounts, including high-profile grocery chains and discount retailers.
- You will be responsible for managing and administering retailer systems, ensuring that all specifications and artwork meet the highest standards of accuracy and comply with deadlines.
- You will be responsible for approving supplier specifications and ensuring compliance with retailer/customer codes of practice and food legislation.
- In addition, you will support the NPD team with nutritional calculations and cross-checking documentation and contribute to pre and post-launch reviews and ensuring specifications meet KPIs.
You:
- 12mths+ experience in Specification writing for a food manufacturer.
- Knowledge of major UK retailer specification systems are essential.
- Strong understanding of retailer requirements and codes of practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
